CREO has entered a two-year strategic collaboration with the United Nations’ Net Zero Asset Owners Alliance (NZAOA) (March 2024-February 2026), a member-led initiative of institutional investors managing $9.5 trillion in assets. NZAOA members are committed to transitioning their investment portfolios to net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2050 and investing in climate solutions.

Focus Areas:

Recognizing the vital role of the financial industry in advancing the climate transition and achieving the Paris Agreement goals, CREO is working towards two ambitious targets:

Supporting the deployment of $100 billion by CREO members into high-impact climate and sustainability opportunities
Catalyzing $900 billion in institutional capital into the broader market by 20278

This collaboration builds on CREO’s ongoing work with Affiliate Member CDPQ and represents a significant milestone in advancing the $900 billion goal.

Engagement and Programming:

As part of this partnership, CREO will support NZAOA members through:

Quarterly educational sessions on private market climate solutions
Access to CREO’s research, insights and dealflow through the CREO Platform
Facilitation of co-investments

By combining expertise and resources, the CREO-NZAOA collaboration seeks to accelerate meaningful capital flows into climate-positive solutions, empowering institutional investors to lead the net-zero transition.
