The European grid is at a crossroads, navigating a new era of load growth driven by electrification and AI. At the same time, unstable policies in the US has increased uncertainty at a time when many of its home-grown technology companies are looking to deploy at scale.
This situation makes deploying American technology in Europe a win-win, as Europe benefits from developed technologies that bring down the cost of the transition, and American startups find a stable early market with durable policies.
The energy trilemma formed by competing priorities of energy security, affordability, and climate is a lens through which to evaluate these technologies.
