The newest pillar in CREO’s core activities and offering to members, Strategic Initiatives support proactive engagement by CREO where it identifies opportunities to advance its mission with a sub-community of CREO members where we believe we have an outsized opportunity to lead significant positive impact.  Strategic Initiatives aims to engage members in three activities: derisking emerging technology, emerging business models, emerging managers and emerging markets; scaling investment in proven solutions, and decarbonizing family-controlled businesses in hard to abate sectors.

Wealth/Asset Owners are the cornerstone of CREO’s work, so Strategic Initiatives builds around family entities, including family offices, family foundations and family-controlled businesses  while also extending to larger communities of proactive climate investors.

CREO’s Strategic Initiatives work is dynamic and targeted, and primarily delivered through working groups, with the support of research, advisory, and programs, but adding rigor and depth of engagement to help groups of members work collectively to address specific challenging obstacles to investing in, and operationalizing, climate solutions.
